5 Steps to Great Content
Content is alpha and omega of blogging. Everything concerning content boils down to advice given by SEOmoz, Problogger, or Copyblogger. The following steps expand on those fundamental ideas. Here is a simplified five steps plan on writing an exceptional post. Follow it step by step, and you will see that the results are worth it.
1. Research your field
If you don’t know what you are writing about, chances are that your blog will not be a good resource for the readers seeking such information. David Ogilvy’s advice says it all. “Do your homework!”
2. Get in touch with experts
Is there something you are passionate about, but not exactly sure about its nuts and bolts? Ask the experts. They will be happy that you are taking interest in their field and will be more likely to help you out. Maybe you can get a nice guest post out of this effort.
3. Give us something unique
You definitely know something that someone else has no idea about. Have you come up with a new financial modeling strategy? Do you know how to grow the ginkgo trees? Step up and share it with the community. We are going to love you for it.
4. Play with the form
Consider podcasts and video. What about turning a post into a mind map? This will surely attract many links and enhance your prestige.
5.Break the pattern
Be original and stand out from the crowd. Creating great content is difficult, because there is so much of it out there already. If you manage to stand out and promote yourself properly, the readers will find you.
